Scheduled jobs allow to create automatically changes or service requests (SR) in the system on a scheduled basis.
For example, you can use this mechanism to create a change of type "Replacing battery in UPS" every 12 months for each UPS in your infrastructure.
EditCreating an automatic change
- Create a "template for change" from the menu "Tools > Reference data management" under the "Changes" node. For example, "Replacing the battery in a UPS" is a template.
- Go to "Tools > Scheduled Jobs" and add a new task for the newly created template.
In the following example, a change will be created once a year, on 1st Monday of July, to replace the battery in UPS.

- Create a "SR Type" from the menu "Tools> Reference data management" under the "Service Request" node.
- Go to "Tools > Scheduled jobs" and add a new job for the newly created template.
In the following example, a service request (SR) will be created every 2nd Tuesday of the month to apply the latest Windows updates on selected servers.
