To disable an Octopus user, you must make sure that the user does not have any unresolved incidents/SR assigned to it.
- Launch the User Search module(F3)
- Search the user to disable
- Open the user form
- Uncheck the "Active" box
- Save
While saving, if you encounter this error message : "Some fields contain invalid values.", you must read the message associated with the exclamation mark in a red circle, right beside the "Active" check box. Simply put your mouse cursor over it to see the reason of the error:

When you receive this message, you must find the requests assigned to the Octopus user and reassign them to another assignee.
- From the menu "Tools > Search"
- At the General tab, select the assignee
- Select the Open status
- From the Types tab, make sure to check all boxes.
Once the search completed, simply remove the assignments of the user to delete and repeat the preceding steps to completely disable the account.
