When starting the Spring 2011 version, the menu on the left containing the lists will look like this:
The concept of
favourite associated with a CI type no longer exists (this concept automatically added a list containing all the CIs of this type to the left menu for all users).
How to add a list of switches, for example?
Very simple. Search on the type of CI Switches and save the search (using the disk icon) by giving it the name Switches.
Note: It is now possible to save your searches. You do not have to produce a list for each type of CI, if you do not want to.
In our example, we might as well have produced a list containing all the networking equipment (thus including switches, routers, etc. ).
My new lists were added to the left menu, is it possible to publish this configuration to all users?
Yes you can. In the list zone, do a right click and select
Personalize....
Then, in the area menu lists - Favorites, click the right mouse button and select Set as default menu....
Note that you must have permissions to administer lists to perform this action.
The following video shows how to create a list of switches and shows how to publish the left menu for all users.
