To accelerate the entry, certain activities can be predefined. To do this:
- Go to Tools > Reference Data Management... > General > Activity types
- Right click on the node "Activity Types", select "Add" ans enter the activity name (in French and English)
Attention: The "Description" field will also appear in the activity text. You must make sure to choose a user-friendly title since the user will see it, if the activity has been marked as "public".
- We can define in advance if the activity:
- automatically needs an on-site visit or not
- is visible on the self-service Web portal
- is sent by email to the user or requester
- The description field allows adding activity details - In case of an activity that will be sent out to the user, we might want to write an email template.
Note : So that the "Type" field is available when entering an activity, we must ensure to make it visible in Tools > Options... > 3- Important General Options > Required field management
